Dear Friends,
In the past five years, the Golden Rainbow Senior Center has grown rapidly in the face of increasing demand for our programs and services. Through your involvement with the GRSC, you have demonstrated your commitment to our mission of supporting vibrant aging and positive images of LGBT residents of the Coachella Valley.

Newsweek magazine has called LGBT older adults "invisible and overlooked." With your help, we will change that prognosis by continuing to offer a safe, supportive, welcoming, and active environment that promotes health, wellness, and social programs to our LGBT community.

If you are able to increase your membership level, extend your membership, or renew an expired membership, your tax-deductible contribution will help support the many social, educational, and health and wellness activities we offer to the area’s older adults as the only LGBT senior center.

Please click on the Donate button below to contribute now.

We thank you for your ongoing support of the Golden Rainbow.

The Golden Rainbow Senior Center is a non-profit 501 (C)(3) public charity which solicits
support from the State of California, Riverside County, the Coachella Valley
and from individuals, foundations, businesses and public entities.

More Food More Often With Expanded Rainbow Pantry Hours
Our Food Pantry program continues to be a great success.GRSC volunteers distribute fresh meat, produce and dairy, as well as canned and dried goods, from 8 to 10 am every Wednesday, at the Golden Rainbow, 700 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, in Palm Springs. Free food is offered to LGBT Riverside County residents in need who are age 55 or better or disabled. Proof of residency (such as a driver’s license) is needed to register on the first visit. Participants are able to fill one grocery bag each week.
Donations Welcome
While we are always grateful for your donated food items (canned and boxed non-perishables only, please), your cash contribution will go even further to feed those in need. We are able to purchase food at pennies on the dollar from the local distribution center. A box of cereal or can of tuna that costs you $2 or more is available to us for less than $1. Please consider making your gift in dollars instead of foodstuffs. We are always pleased to receive donations and the gratitude of our Food Pantry clients is immeasurable. Click on the Donate button below to contribute now.
We continue to encourage you and your friends to drop off any unused canned and non-perishable food items in your pantries. You may bring them to the Golden Rainbow Senior Center from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. We regret that we cannot accept opened items. In addition, Casswood Insurance Agency and the Desert Business Association (DBA) have teamed up to decorate, place, and service GRSC Food Pantry collection bins around the Greater Palm Springs Area. Bring your food item donations to any of the following locations:
City of Hope Resale Store, 35688 Cathedral Canyon #107, Cathedral City
Club Whatever, 36737 Cathedral Canyon Drive, Cathedral City
any DBA mixer held monthly at various publicized locations,
Q Trading, 606 E Sunny Dunes Rd., Palm Springs
Score, 301 E Arenas Road, Palm Springs
Streetbar, 244 E Arenas Road, Palm Springs
Toucan's Tiki Lounge, 2100 N Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs
World Gym Palm Springs, 1751 N Sunrise Way, Palm Springs
If you are a business or service organization and are willing to host a collection bin, please call us at 1-760-416-7790 and let us know.
Our "perpetual" thanks to the Palm Springs Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, original organizers of the Food Pantry donation program.
